Modern engines equipped with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems recirculate exhaust gases back into the engine. Oil vapors from the crankcase mix with these exhaust particles, causing deposits that block inlet manifolds and valves. This buildup reduces engine performance and can lead to engine failure.
