Problems with the DMAX 4JJ1 Diesel Particulate Filter are well documented. The DMAX runs an active DPF system that traps harmful diesel particulates in a honey comb structure, and then burns them off as the DPF flow is reduced. In the DMAX often the soot left behind after the burn cycle can build up and cause a permanent blockage and expensive failure
Signs your DPF is failing include reduced engine performance, higher fuel consumption along with more frequent burn cycles.

Isuzu added a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) to the DMAX. These are prone to failure and significantly restrict performance.
DPF DELETE SPECIFICATIONS:
- 304-grade 1.5mm thick polished stainless steel piping.
- Stainless steel flanges
- Stainless CNC machined turbo housing connection
- Straight through design for maximum efficiency
- Stainless 2 bolt connecting flange for bolt-on installation to factory or aftermarket DPF-back systems
- TIG welded
- Mandrel Bent
- Gaskets and bolts included
These are a proven design producing fantastic sound and performance upgrades on the DMAX
