Important Note About Meredith Metal Works Products

Please note that all Meredith Metal Works products are made to order in Australia. The average production lead time is 8–12 weeks, plus postage time.

We kindly ask that you factor this timeframe into your purchase decision, as orders cannot be cancelled once placed due to the custom-made nature of these products.

    Fitting & Installation

    Do you offer fitting services?
Yes — fitting is available at PPD Performance. Please contact us for a quote and to arrange installation at our Bibra Lake workshop.

What’s the difference between short and long entry snorkels?

Short entry runs straight down from the pillar into the guard.

Long entry adds a leg before entering the guard. Both connect to the factory airbox — the difference is mostly aesthetic and personal preference.

    Water & Rain Protection

How do your snorkels handle rain and water ingress?
All snorkels work under vacuum, so minor water entry is normal. Factory airboxes are designed with drain points to remove any water that gets in. Snorkel socks (oiled pre-filters) can be fitted during heavy rain to reduce water intake. Meredith Metal Works also offers a water diverter, which uses airflow dynamics to direct water to the snorkel walls, allowing it to drain safely away.

    Snorkel Materials & Maintenance

Why does my polished snorkel show rust or “tea staining”?
All Meredith snorkels are made from 316L marine-grade stainless steel, but microscopic surface grooves can trap contaminants. To maintain a polished finish

    • Clean using Autosol or similar metal polish.
    • For stubborn stains, use a decontaminant spray (available from Meredith Metal Works).
    • Finish with wax or a protective coating to prevent future staining.

    Do you offer snorkel replacements?

Yes, for selected vehicles: 80 Series (Safari only), D22, GU Patrol, and 76 / 78 / 79 Series LandCruiser. Note: Mounting holes may vary slightly between snorkel brands or versions, so perfect alignment isn’t guaranteed.

    Production & Delivery

How long will my order take?
All Meredith Metal Works products are made to order in Australia. Please allow 8–12 weeks for production, plus postage time. Because each snorkel is custom fabricated, orders can’t be cancelled once placed.

    How is shipping calculated?
Shipping costs are based on product size and delivery location.
